Police complaint against four including union minister for calling Rahul Gandhi a terrorist and threatening him

New Delhi: Congress has lodged a police complaint against four BJP leaders who made objectionable statements against Rahul Gandhi. The leaders against whom the complaint has been lodged include Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu. Congress treasurer and former Union minister Ajay Maken has lodged this complaint at Tughlaq Road police station in Delhi on Wednesday September 18 morning. He has alleged that a Bharatiya Janata Party leader has threatened to kill Rahul Gandhi last week in Delhi. According to Maken, the BJP leader had said, “Rahul Gandhi be careful, otherwise you will also face the same fate as your grandmother”.

Ajay Maken, who was present outside the Tughlaq Road police station, told the media, “We all know that Indira Gandhi ji took 34 bullets on her chest and was martyred. Rajiv Gandhi had started peace talks, due to which his body was blown to pieces. Rahul Gandhi’s family sacrificed their lives for the country and today Rahul Gandhi is being told to be careful or else the same will happen to you.” Maken said that politics in India cannot stoop this low. He said that senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party neither condemned this statement nor took any action against it.

He said, after this, the leader of the BJP’s ally party said that whoever cuts Rahul Gandhi’s tongue will get Rs 11 lakh. You don’t like the words of anyone, you don’t like Rahul Gandhi’s voice because he talks about the country’s interest, talks about the poor, the workers. That is why you are threatening to cut his tongue. The Congress leader said that the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi are not going to be afraid of BJP’s threats. Our leader Rahul Gandhi will continue to raise the voice for the interests of the backward, Dalits and the poor.

Ajay Maken said that a minister of the Government of India (Ravneet Singh Bittu) called Rahul Gandhi a terrorist because he does not like what Rahul Gandhi is saying. That is why today we have lodged a complaint with the police so that strict action can be taken against these people. This is a direct threat to kill. Congress has lodged this complaint against four people, including the Union Minister, a former BJP MLA from Delhi, a Shiv Sena MLA from Maharashtra and a minister from Uttar Pradesh.
