Pragati College , Choubey Colony organises speech competition under the Chhattisgarh State Silver Jubilee Celebrations”

Raipur(Pragati College ): A speech competition was organised on the subject of development journey of Chhattisgarh state in a sequence at Pragati College , Choubey Colony , Raipur on Thurshday September 4, 2025 under the on going Chhattisgarh State Silver Jubilee Celebrations all over the state .

Dr. Lalit Verma (Vice Principal Mahant Laxminarayan Das College) was present as the chief guest and judge of this special program.

The program started with performing a puja of Goddes Saraswati by lighting a lamp and incense , chanting Saraswati Vandana and offering prayers for knowledge and wisdom .

Principal Dr. Soumya Nayyar welcomed the Chief guest Dr. Verma by presenting him rose flower pot unders the nationwide movement “EK Ped Maa ke Naam”.

While delivering her opening addess Principal of the Pragati College Dr. Soumya Nayyar highlighting the main points of Chhattisgarh development journey on the occasion of the silver jubilee year of Chhattisgarh said that our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a series of developmental projects aimed at accelerating Chhattisgarh’s progress. 

These initiatives include housing for the underprivileged, improved infrastructure in education, transportation, and energy sectors, and enhanced connectivity. 

She informed that its a great time for Pragatians as well , as with the State Siver jublee year ,our College too enters in its 25th years of imparting quality education to the thousands of students and we too are going to organise of silver jublee year with state, Principal added.

The students of the education department and journalism department of the college presented their views on the development journey of Chhattisgarh. They expressed their views on Chhattisgarh festivals, Sarhool festival of Bastar and food habits , Bastar Dussehra, agricultural life related schemes, administrative facilities, health, education, industry and culture and history of Chhattisgarh.

In the speech competition, Ainuka Dhruv got the first place in the winner’s category, Priya Jha got the second place and Yamini got the third place.

The chief guest significantly drew attention to the struggles of Chhattisgarh and shared the details of the speech competition.

In this program Administrator Jyoti Thakur , Head of Education and Journalism Departments Dr. K. N. Gajpal, Dr. Praveen Yadav and all the professors and students of Education and Journalism Department were present.
