 “Health check-up program” 

Health check-up program was focused on improving and extending helth of faculties and students -Photo- Pragati College

“Health Check-up Program” was organised by the Education Department of Pragati College Chaubey Colony Raipur on Wednesday April 16 , 2025 . The program started with principal’s say on the subject . Principal Dr. Soumya Nayyar described about the anatomy of the human body , lifestyle, food habits and various types of yoga exercises to keep oneself fit.

After this, the main speaker Dr. Manisha Dase Jee explained the students and staff of the Education department about the human brain, in which it was told that for a healthy brain, morning exercise and meditation should be imprerative part of daly life , Besides she gave information about which vegetables should be consumed to stay healthy. According to the (WHO) World Health Organisation, cardiovascular disease has increased in India, along with this, about 1.5 crore children of India suffer from obesity due to not taking proper care of their food habits, . The speed at which children of today are using smart phones is causing various types of physical diseases and becoming a barrier in their physical development . Dr. Manisha gave complete information about various organs of the human body. After this, the complete body checkup of the faculty and students was done by her team.

On this occasion, the college principal Dr. Soumya Nayyar , Administrator Ms. Jyoti Thakur , Head of Education Department Dr. K.N. Gajpal, Head of Journalism Department Dr. Praveen Kumar Yadav and and all the professors and students were present to take the advantage of the opportunity .

The program was conducted by Bhuneshwar Yadav and Swaleha Nisa, Assistant Professor – Education Department and the vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Upasana Srivastava, Assistant Professor ( Education Dept. ) .
