Pramod Singh Thakur, General Secretary of the CG Soft Tennis Association, has been appointed as the coach of the Indian soft tennis team by the Amateur Soft Tennis Federation of India in the 17th World Soft Tennis Championship 2024 organized by the World Soft Tennis Federation in South Korea from 1 to 10 September.
The Indian team has left for Korea on 11 August where it will receive training at the Anesong Training Center till 24 August. After that it will participate in the Sancheng Open Soft Tennis Tournament organised from 24 August to 1 September and then will participate in the 17th World Soft Tennis Championship from 1 September to 10 September. Thus, the Indian soft tennis team will stay in Korea for about a month.
Mr. Thakur has earlier also participated as the coach of the Indian team in the 1st Asian Soft Tennis Championship held in Bulacan Philippines in 2019 and the Asian Soft Tennis Championship held in Hangzhou China in 2022. CG Soft Tennis President Anil Pusadakar, along with the association officials Ravishankar Dhangar, Sanjay Shukla, Rupendra Singh Chauhan, Henry and Rohin Santiago congratulated Shri Thakur on this appointment and wished the Indian team good luck for a good performance.
