Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday November 10, 2025 attended the Bharat Parv held at Ekta Nagar, Kevadia in Gujarat. On the occasion, he said that Bharat Parv stands as a symbol of India’s unity in diversity, where the culture, traditions, and pride of every state are showcased together. The event was also attended by Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor V. K. Saxena and Chhattisgarh’s Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao.

Chief Minister Sai paid homage to the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, noting that Bharat Parv is being organised in his 150th birth anniversary year and will conclude on the birth anniversary of Dharti Aaba Bhagwan Birsa Munda — observed nationally as Tribal Pride Day. He said this festival is a powerful emblem of India’s cultural and emotional unity.

Praising the grandeur of the Statue of Unity, Chief Minister Sai said it has become a defining symbol of India’s oneness. He recalled that when Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi decided to build the statue, iron was collected from every village in the country — making it a true reflection of Ek Bharat.

He added that just as Sardar Patel united the princely states to form a single nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strengthened that vision by realising the dream of a powerful and integrated India. Referring to Patel’s decision to rebuild the Somnath Temple, the Chief Minister said it restored the glory of India’s Sanatan cultural heritage. He observed that when Prime Minister Modi celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) alongside members of Sardar Patel’s family, it was a deeply emotional moment for the entire nation.

“It is our collective fortune that the legacy of India today rests in the visionary hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is carrying forward Sardar Patel’s ideals and vision,” the Chief Minister said.

He also mentioned that on National Unity Day, Chhattisgarh’s tableau participated in the national unity parade, sending a message of integration to the entire country.

Speaking further, Chief Minister Sai highlighted the 150th anniversary celebrations of Vande Mataram across India, noting that the spirit of Vande Mataram penned by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay and Sardar Patel’s ideal of unity together form the essence of India’s national identity.

He added that Sardar Patel had indigenised the civil services framework of India, and even today, his foresight and philosophy continue to shape the country’s administrative system.

During Bharat Parv, Chief Minister Sai met with the cultural troupe representing Chhattisgarh and extended his best wishes to the artists.

On this occasion, Principal Secretary to CM, Subodh Kumar Singh; Secretary Rahul Bhagat, and other senior officials were also present.
