Demanding death penalty for the murderers of journalist Mukesh Chandrakar: Raipur Press Club protested against the murder, stage dharna in front of Raj Bhavan

Raipur- CG : Journalists and citizens of Bijapur spontaneously shut down the city and blocked the roads in connection with the brutal murder of Bijapur journalist Mukesh Chandrakar of Chhattisgarh. Tribute was paid to Mukesh Chandrakar with tearful eyes at the Raipur Press Club. On this occasion, journalists kept silence and prayed to God for the peace of the departed soul. After paying tribute, journalists reached Raj Bhavan to submit a memorandum to the Governor and demanded death penalty for the murderers.

Let us tell you that the journalists hurt by the incident are demanding that all the murderers involved in the murder be arrested as soon as possible. Journalists are demanding an investigation into the relationship between the Bijapur SP and the accused contractor in this murder case and immediate removal of the SP. A protest was held in Raipur against the murder of Bijapur journalist Mukesh Chandrakar. Journalists of Raipur Press Club protested in the capital Raipur. Also, a demand was made to give death penalty to the murderers. Demonstrating with the banner Save Journalism, Save Democracy, the journalists marched on foot from the Press Club to the Raj Bhavan and raised their voice.

Let us tell you that the body of Bastar journalist Mukesh Chandrakar was found in the contractor’s septic tank on January 3, 2025 . Journalist Mukesh Chandrakar was missing from home since 1 January. Mukesh Chandrakar’s brother had also filed a missing report. During the search, Mukesh Chandrakar’s body was found in the septic tank on the evening of 3 January.
