Rajya Sabha: ‘Rahul Gandhi came very close to me and started shouting’, alleges Nagaland BJP MP Phanganon Konyak

Earlier, the Rajya Sabha meeting had to be adjourned twice due to uproar over allegations of pushing and shoving by members of the ruling party and the opposition in Parliament. First, as soon as the proceedings of the House began, it was adjourned till 2 pm. After this, when the proceedings of the House began at 2 pm, it had to be adjourned for the whole day shortly after.

Opposition and ruling party MPs protested in the Parliament premises on Thursday on the issue of insult to Babasaheb Ambedkar. During this, BJP MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput were injured in the alleged scuffle. Both were admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.

Meanwhile, the government made serious allegations against Rahul Gandhi in the Rajya Sabha. Nagaland BJP member Phanganon Konyak alleged that when she was protesting with other MPs near the Makar Dwar of Parliament, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi came very close to her and started shouting at her.

She wrote a letter to Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar saying that Rahul behaved indecently with her. He has hurt my dignity. She further said that the opposition leader came close and I did not like it and he started shouting. Whatever happened today is very sad, this should not happen. I have also complained to the Chairman.

Accused of using force against female BJP MPs

Earlier, Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha JP Nadda condemned Rahul Gandhi’s conduct with BJP MPs in the Parliament premises. Union Ministers Nadda and Kiren Rijiju accused Rahul Gandhi of using force against female BJP MPs at the entrance of Parliament. The BJP demanded an apology from him.

What is the matter?

In fact, there was a clash between the opposition and National Democratic Alliance MPs in the Parliament premises on Thursday. Two BJP MPs were injured in this. Both were admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr Ajay Shukla said that Pratap Sarangi (69) of Odisha and Mukesh Rajput of Uttar Pradesh were brought to the hospital from Parliament due to head injuries. Sarangi was bleeding a lot. He had a deep wound on his forehead. Stitches had to be done. When he was brought, his blood pressure was very high.

Dr Shukla said that Rajput also suffered a head injury, after which he fainted soon. However, when the MP was brought to the hospital, he was conscious. His blood pressure level was also increased. Medical Superintendent of RML Hospital said that both the MPs have been given medicines, while investigations like CT scan of the head and cardiac test are going on. Both of them are in ICU.
