Mumbai: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat will interact with members of Generation Z and Generation Alpha during the inaugural ceremony of the International Movement to Unite Nations (IIMUN) Annual Championship Conference at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai on Thursday August 6, 2026 .

The event coincides with IIMUN’s 15th anniversary celebrations and is expected to bring together more than 2,000 high school students from over 100 cities across the country. Participants, primarily between 15 and 19 years of age, will represent schools and colleges in one of the country’s largest youth-led gatherings.

According to the organisers, Bhagwat’s address will formally inaugurate the flagship conference, where students will engage in discussions and debates on local, national and global issues. This year’s conference will be organised around the theme “The Role of Youth in Uniting the World, the Indian Way.”

Organisers Highlight Importance of Youth Dialogue

Explaining the objective behind the interaction, Rishabh Shah, Founder of IIMUN, said the conference seeks to encourage meaningful engagement between young people and national leaders.

“Leadership is not only about guiding the next generation, but also listening to it. At this critical juncture in India’s journey, we need this dialogue more than ever before. I am grateful to Mohan Bhagwat ji for accepting our invitation to address this gathering,” Shah said.

Organisers said the conference is designed to encourage civic awareness, leadership and constructive debate among students on issues of national and international significance.

Founded in 2011 by Rishabh Shah, the International Movement to Unite Nations (IIMUN) is a youth-led public affairs platform aimed at promoting leadership, civic participation and global engagement among students.

According to the organisation, its programmes are conducted across 275 cities in India and 40 countries, reaching more than 7.5 crore young people through collaborations with over 1.5 lakh schools and colleges. The organisation’s advisory board includes personalities from business, public service, law, sports and the arts.
