Chhattisgarh Chief Minister says youth energy, innovation and creativity will play a key role in building a developed state

Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai called upon young people to express themselves with honesty and courage while using their ideas, talent and creativity to bring positive change in society.
Addressing the ‘Chhattisgarh Next Youth Conclave’, organised by the Aaj Ki Jandhara media group in Raipur on Sunday, Sai said the youth of Chhattisgarh were talented, hardworking and full of potential.
“Young people should put forward their views directly, truthfully and courageously, and strive to bring positive change in society through their ideas and work,” the Chief Minister said.
Sai said changing times had opened up a new world of opportunities for the younger generation. He urged them to recognise their abilities, set bigger goals and pursue them with confidence.
“The new thinking, energy and creativity of our youth are the greatest strengths of Chhattisgarh’s future,” he said.

Referring to opportunities emerging across the country, Sai said young Indians were establishing themselves in innovation, startups, science, technology, sports, art and culture. He said Chhattisgarh’s young people possessed immense potential and could make an important contribution towards the goals of a developed Chhattisgarh and a developed India.
The Chief Minister also referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme and spoke about initiatives promoting environmental protection, nutrition and public participation. Discussing the ‘Har Ghar Munga, Ghar-Ghar Munga’ campaign, Sai described moringa as an easily available local source of nutrition and advocated wider community participation in promoting it.
Struggle Teaches Us to Move Forward
Sharing a personal chapter from his life, Sai told the gathering that he had lost his father at a young age and consequently had to shoulder family responsibilities. He recalled working in agriculture while looking after his family and trying to ensure the education of his younger brothers.
“Circumstances in life are not always favourable, but instead of being frightened by difficulties, one should face them and keep moving forward,” Sai said.
He told the young audience that perseverance, patience and determination could open new paths even during difficult periods.
Sai also spoke about Chhattisgarh’s natural and cultural heritage, saying its forests, hills, waterfalls, villages and diverse folk traditions gave the state a distinctive identity. He referred to Madheshwar Hill and its naturally formed Shiva-lingam-like structure while highlighting the state’s tourism potential.
The Chief Minister said Chhattisgarh’s true spirit lived in its villages, folk traditions and culture, and encouraged younger generations to remain connected with their roots, languages and dialects while embracing modernity.
During the programme, noted artist Piyush Mishra praised Chhattisgarh’s artistic and cultural traditions and remembered the contribution of late Padma Vibhushan awardee Teejan Bai in taking Pandavani to audiences in India and abroad. Mishra also performed his well-known song ‘Aarambh Hai Prachand’.
Sai honoured young achievers from different fields and congratulated them on their accomplishments. He also released the ‘Aaj Ki Jandhara Sahityik Varshiki-2026’, brought out on the media group’s 36th anniversary.
Chief Minister’s adviser Krishna Das, Special Secretary to the Chief Minister Rajat Bansal, Aaj Ki Jandhara Editor-in-Chief Subhash Mishra, dignitaries from different fields and a large number of young people attended the programme.
