India on Iran-Israel Conflict: India has not made any clear comment on the attacks carried out by Israel in Iran. India has also kept itself away from voting on the UNGA( United Nations General Assembly) resolution.

SCO Statement on Iran-Israel Conflict: The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) issued a statement regarding the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel. In its statement, the SCO has condemned the attacks on Iran by Israel. However, India has distanced itself from the SCO statement on Saturday June 14, 2025.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has issued a statement regarding this on Saturday June 14, 2025 . The ministry said in its statement, “We have not participated in any such discussion of the SCO, due to which the group issued such a statement.”

What did the Ministry of External Affairs say in its statement?

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs said in its official statement, “The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) recently issued a statement regarding the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel. India has not participated in any such discussion of the SCO, which the group has mentioned.”

The Ministry of External Affairs has clarified India’s independent stand on the Iran-Israel conflict, which was first clarified by India on Friday (June 13, 2025). Apart from this, India had called for peace and dialogue.

The ministry said, “We request to use dialogue and diplomacy to establish peace in the war and reduce tension. Apart from this, the international community should also take steps towards establishing peace.”

S. Jaishankar talks to Iranian Foreign Minister

Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar recently held talks with his Iranian counterpart. During this, Jaishankar directly told him about India’s concerns. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, Foreign Minister Jaishankar also spoke about the growing concerns among the international community due to the Iran-Israel conflict and now emphasised the use of diplomatic means while establishing peace without escalating the conflict.
