Raipur : Chhattisgarh Chief Secretary Vikas Sheel honoured officers and employees for excellence in e-Office functioning and punctual attendance during the monthly recognition programme held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
The programme, held yesterday, recognised Secretariat personnel who demonstrated efficiency in the speedy and effective disposal of files through the e-Office system and maintained punctual attendance. Departments, directorate-level offices and district offices showing strong performance in digital administration were also felicitated.

Congratulating the awardees, the Chief Secretary said consistent performance in e-Office should become part of the regular working culture of government departments. He also encouraged officers and employees to undertake at least three to four courses every month on the iGOT platform, selecting programmes relevant to the requirements of their respective departments.
The Public Health and Family Welfare Department secured first position among departments for its e-Office performance, followed by the Tribal Development Department in second place and the Cottage and Village Industries Department in third.
Digital Efficiency Recognised Across Government
In the e-Office ranking covering officials from Additional/Joint Secretary to Junior Secretariat Assistant categories, Sachidanand Alok, Additional Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, secured first position, while Jayashree Jain, Joint Secretary, Forest and Climate Change Department, stood second and Bhupendra Kumar Rajput, Joint Secretary, Tribal Development Department, was placed third.
Among Deputy Secretaries, Durdeshi Ram Sontapar of the Forest and Climate Change Department secured first position, followed by Vipul Kumar Gupta of the Labour Department and Ritu Verma of the General Administration Department.

In other categories, officers and employees from the Home, Health and Family Welfare, Food and Civil Supplies, Commerce and Industries, Urban Administration and other departments were recognised for their performance.
The government also honoured personnel securing top positions in punctual-attendance rankings. Separate recognition was given for sustained performance over a three-month period in both e-Office functioning and attendance.
At the directorate level, Higher Education Commissioner Rita Yadav secured first position in the e-Office ranking, followed by Tribal Development Commissioner D. Rahul Venkat and Additional Director, Higher Education, John Tigga.
District-level recognition went to Anita Jain, Assistant Project Officer, Raipur, who secured first position, followed by Nandini Soni, Assistant-cum-Data Entry Operator from Sakti, and Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Nodal Officer, Raipur.
Under the iGOT ranking, Gautam Kumar Dewangan, Chowkidar at the Commissioner’s Office, Bilaspur, secured first position; Prem Narayan Nayak, Lecturer in the District Education Office, Balodabazar, stood second; and Dinesh Kumar, police constable under the Superintendent of Police, Balod, secured third position.
The monthly recognition initiative reflects the state government’s emphasis on faster digital file processing, punctuality, professional development and greater administrative efficiency across departments and field offices.
