Baloda Bazar: A charge sheet has been issued against suspended IPS Sadanand Kumar in the Balodabazar violence case of Chhattisgarh. Issuing the charge sheet, the Home Department has written that Sadanand Kumar was posted as SP from 8 February to 12 June. During this period, on the intervening night of 15-16 May, 3 Jaitkhaams, symbols of faith of the Satnami community, were cut and thrown away in Amar Gufa of Girodpuri Dham.
He further wrote that, on breaking and damaging the gate of the temple, in crime number 110/2024, section 295 IPC registered at Girodpuri police station, without proper supervision and without considering the seriousness of the case and without in-depth investigation on all points, the charge sheet has been found to have been presented in the court on June 5,2024.
It is further written in the charge sheet that, your said act is a violation of Rule 3(2B)(xiii) of the All India Services (Conduct) Rules-1968. Thus, Sadanand Kumar, suspended IPS (CG-2010) has violated Rule 3 (2B) (xiii) of the All India Services (Conduct) Rules-1968 due to not being dutiful and not acting with the best of discretion.
