A strange incident has come to light in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh. Here a speeding SUV broke the railing of a bridge and fell 30 feet down into a dry river. In this horrific accident, 4 people died, while 2 others were seriously injured. Surprisingly, the goat riding in the vehicle survived this accident, which the family was taking for sacrifice after worship.
The accident took place between 3:30 and 4:00 pm on the Chargawan-Jabalpur road, about 30 km from the district headquarters. The vehicle was carrying 6 members of the Patel family, who were returning to Jabalpur after visiting the Dada Darbar in Narsinghpur and symbolically sacrificing a goat and a rooster.
After returning home, the family was going to have a feast of chicken and mutton. Police said that there was also a rooster and a goat in the car, which the family was taking for symbolic sacrifice after the puja. The rooster died in the accident, while the goat’s ear was cut, but it survived.
The family was returning after sacrificing the rooster and the goat. According to initial investigation, the driver lost control of the vehicle due to high speed, after which the SUV broke the railing and fell into the dry bed of the river. On receiving information about the accident, the team of Chargawan police station immediately reached the spot, which is just 5-7 km from the spot. Local villagers had informed the police after hearing a loud sound.
The police, with the help of locals, pulled out the injured from the debris of the vehicle and had a tough time pulling out the bodies. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the families of the deceased have been informed.
