The students locke the school and staged a sit-in protest, demand the removal of teachers

Janjgir-Champa: Students staged a sit-in protest for three hours at the Government Pre-Secondary School in Madwa village of Baloda development block of Janjgir-Champa district demanding the removal of two teachers. The students locked the main gate of the school, which disrupted the operation of the school. On receiving the information, Block Education Officer (BEO) Shyam Ratna Khande and Tehsildar Raj Kumar Marawi reached the spot and heard the problems of the students.

There are five teachers working in the school, out of which two teachers, Suresh Dubey and Santosh Das Manikpuri, are suffering from paralysis. One teacher is unable to speak while the other teacher is facing difficulty in writing by hand. The students said that due to these circumstances, their studies are being greatly hampered. Two months ago, the students had also made a written complaint to the BEO regarding this problem, but despite this no action is taken so far .

The officials assured that an additional teacher will be appointed soon so that there is no hindrance in studies. Also, it was said that both the affected teachers would be sent for medical examination. After this assurance the students ended the protest and opened the lock of the school.
