Prayagraj: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while talking to the media before the Maha Kumbh in Sangam city Prayagraj on Friday January 10 ,2025 rejected every aspect ranging from the preparations for the Maha Kumbh to the claim of organising a fair on Waqf land.

CM Yogi said that people of all faith from all over the world are coming to the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj and if someone hurts their faith and devotion by saying that sir this is Waqf land. He said that I want to ask that the event which is a symbol of India’s heritage of thousands of years has been held here. CM Yogi said that even when there was no government assistance, this event has been held here, without any invitation.
CM further said that if someone calls it Waqf land, then all that needs to be said is that this is a Waqf Board or a board of land mafias. This kind of evil tendency must be stopped and we will stop it. CM Yogi said that we have made some amendments here that any land on which Waqf has occupied or claimed, its entire record of 1363 Fasli should be checked. If the word Waqf comes anywhere, then first see in whose name the land was and then we are working to get it back, CM Yogi Adityanath added.

CM Yogi said that anywhere, on any land which is in public use, whether it is the land of holy places associated with Hindu faith or government land, we will not allow any such land mafia board to occupy it. He clearly said that this is the land of Kumbh and will continue to be available to the visiting saints for organizing Kumbh.

He said that this is the world’s largest temporary city and at least 40 crore people are going to come here. People should see how one India will come together at one place and rise above caste and religion as Shrestha Bharat and take a dip together in Sangam. Before this, CM Yogi claimed that the water of Ganga is suitable for bathing
