We will pave the way for development by eliminating Naxalism in the state: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur: Chief Minister ishnu dev Sai, during an interview on Thursday in a program organized by Sudarshan Channel, said that eliminating Naxalism in Chhattisgarh, winning the trust of the people, and moving forward towards development are among the key objectives of our government. He said that to realize this objective, the Chhattisgarh government is working to improve the living standards of the people through the Niyyad Nellanar Scheme. Many villages in Naxal-affected areas have been repopulated so far. Efforts are being made to connect surrendered Naxalites with employment. Naxalite activities were causing the death of innocent people, and it is the government’s responsibility to protect the common people. Our government has set a target of eliminating Naxalism by March 31, 2026. After the formation of the government, efforts are underway to eliminate Naxalism by forming a joint task force.

He said that to realize this objective, the Chhattisgarh government is working to improve the living standards of the people through the Niyyad Nellanar Scheme. Many villages in Naxal-affected areas have been repopulated so far. Efforts are being made to connect surrendered Naxalites with employment. The Chief Minister stated that the people of Bastar are benefiting from various public welfare schemes implemented by the government. Tendu leaf procurement in the forest region is being carried out through cooperative societies. Bastar Olympics and Bastar Pandum were organized to bring people out of Naxalite ideology and into the mainstream of development. 165,000 people participated in the Bastar Olympics, proving that Bastar residents desire to move forward on the path of development.

Regarding his foreign trip, the Chief Minister described it as a highly successful one. From August 24th to 31st, the Chhattisgarh Pavilion in Japan provided an opportunity to showcase the state’s art, culture, and potential. He explained that investors have been invited to establish industries in the state and have been informed of the new industrial policy. The new industrial policy prioritizes job creation.

He stated that Chhattisgarh has immense industrial potential. It boasts abundant natural resources. Ayurveda and herbal products also hold immense potential, as approximately 44 percent of the state is covered in forests. He noted that healthcare services have developed extensively even in remote forest areas. Currently, the state boasts 15 medical colleges, IITs, NITs, IIMs, and several higher education institutions, including the National Law University.

Chief Minister Sai urged people not to abandon cows. Stray animals are a major cause of road accidents. Protecting cattle is everyone’s responsibility. The Chief Minister stated that the government is taking strict action to remove illegal encroachments on grazing lands in the state.

A developed Chhattisgarh will be fulfilled along with the resolve for a developed India.

Chief Minister Sai stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve to establish India as a developed nation by 2047 is a commitment. This commitment will only be fulfilled with everyone’s participation, and the central and state governments are working tirelessly to achieve this. He said that with the commitment to a developed India, the Anjor Vision-2047 (Chhattisgarh Vision) document has been prepared, through which efforts are being made for the all-round development of the state. He called for everyone to work together to build a developed Chhattisgarh.
