Bilaspur: A case of sextortion has come to light. The accused first befriended the girl and then made physical relations with her by promising marriage. The accused kept sexually exploiting the girl for two years. Now when the victim talked about marriage, he refused to marry her and started blackmailing her to have physical relations by showing her obscene videos and pictures. After the victim’s complaint in the case, Sarkanda police has arrested the accused.
According to the information, on October 22,, 2024, the victim lodged a report in Sarkanda police station, that 3 years ago in 2021, she became friends with Vidhendu Shukla (accused), a resident of Rajkishore Nagar. The two started talking. About a year later, on the afternoon of 20.10.2022, the accused called the victim to his house. During this time there was no one else in the house except the two, then the accused forcibly had physical relations with the victim by luring her to marry her . Afterword the intimate relationship continued for 2 consecutive years.
The reality came to the fore when the accused took the victim to his friend’s house on October 20, 2024 and had physical relations there too. During this, when the victim asked him to marry her as soon as possible , the accused refused and threatened her by showing obscene photos and videos made by him of the victim and said that now whenever I call you , come to meet me… else I will make the photos and videos viral.
Not only this, during this period accused also beaten – up the victim. The victim lodged an FIR against the accused in the police regarding the fraud and sextortion done with her. At the same time, understanding the seriousness of the matter, the police arrested the accused Vidhendu Shukla and started further action.
