The stock market slipped due to initial gains
Stock Market After Trump Oath: The stock market is witnessing fluctuations on Tuesday. Before Donald Trump’s oath in America, Sensex-Nifty had jumped. After the oath, the market trend changed and after a strong start, both the indices suddenly slipped.
The Indian stock market is looking a bit changed on Tuesday. When the stock market opened today after the oath of US President Donald Trump, both the indexes opened in the green zone. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s 30-share Sensex started trading with a gain of more than 200 points. But within a few minutes, this initial gain evaporated and Sensex-Nifty were seen trading in the red with a decline.
The initial gain disappeared within minutes
The stock market started trading with a gain on Tuesday, the second trading day of the week. The BSE Sensex started trading at 77,261.72, rising from its previous close of 77,073, but this gain was seen only for a few minutes, then suddenly the Sensex started falling and slipped by 313 points to the level of 76,760. Like the Sensex, the movement of NSE Nifty also changed suddenly. After opening at 23,421, it fell to the level of 23,272.
The market jumped before Trump’s oath
While the market is witnessing a decline after Donald Trump’s oath, the Indian stock market had seen a sharp jump on the last trading day i.e. before the oath. On Monday, the Sensex opened at 76,978.53, up about 300 points from its previous close, and after that it rose by about 700 points to reach 77,318.94 and finally closed at 77,073.44, jumping 454.11 points. Like the Sensex, the Nifty index also started trading in the green zone and jumped to 23,391. In the end, the Nifty closed at 23,344.75, up 141.55 points.
