Arvind Kejriwal held a meeting with the new AAP MLAs in which he stressed on the responsibility of fulfilling the expectations and problems of the people while in power. Kejriwal directed to fulfill the election promises of BJP and ensure financial help to women.
Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal has held a meeting with the new MLAs of the party. All 22 AAP MLAs attended this meeting. Atishi, who is among the big elected leaders of the party, also attended this meeting. Arvind Kejriwal also had to face a big defeat, but in the meeting he has given instructions to move forward together.
In this meeting, Kejriwal gave directions to the MLAs to fulfill their duties towards the public and solve the problems of the area. He emphasized that the public has expressed faith in AAP and now it is their responsibility to fulfill this faith.
Promises made to women should be fulfilled- Kejriwal
During the meeting, Kejriwal also stressed that AAP MLAs will have to play the role of opposition and hold the BJP government accountable. BJP had promised to give Rs 2500 to women during the election campaign, which was assured to be passed in the first cabinet meeting and the first installment will be released by March 8. Arvind Kejriwal assured that he will ensure that women get this financial assistance on time.
Allegations of hooliganism in Delhi!
BJP had also promised that they will continue the ongoing social welfare schemes in the health and education sector. Kejriwal respected the mandate of the people of Delhi and said that although incidents of hooliganism were seen in the elections, the Aam Aadmi Party will still play the role of a constructive opposition. In this sequence, the decision of the leader of the opposition will be taken in the official legislative party meeting of the party.
Kejriwal gave these instructions to the MLAs!
AAP leader and former Chief Minister Atishi said that Arvind Kejriwal reminded the newly elected MLAs of their responsibilities and stressed that the party has to remain active in solving the problems of the people. In return for the trust that the people have placed in the 22 AAP MLAs, they have to remain ready to serve the people. Apart from this, the party has to be vigilant to ensure the responsibilities of the government so that the promises made to the people can be fulfilled.
