Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Yogi government is going to start a Zero Poverty Scheme to rescue the families living in extreme poverty . Under this scheme, a list of the poor will be prepared and they will be helped out by giving them the benefits of all the schemes being run by the government.
The Chief Minister will launch this scheme in the month of September itself. Panchayati Raj and Minority Welfare Department Minister OP Rajbhar told reporters that Panchayati Raj Department has been made the nodal for this scheme. Apart from this, all the departments related to the development and public welfare of villages including Social Welfare Department, Backward Class Department, Minority Department, Disabled Empowerment Department, Swachh Bharat Mission, Rural Development Department, Food and Logistics have been made partners of this ambitious scheme of the Chief Minister. All the departments will provide the benefits of their respective departments to the selected eligible persons.
Let us inform you that there are a total number of 57691 Gram Panchayats in the state. Under which 85 thousand villages come. Under the scheme, 10 to 25 families will be selected from every village who are living in extreme poverty.
