Rekha Gupta defeated Bandana Kumari of Aam Aadmi Party from Shalimar Bagh assembly seat of Delhi. Rekha Gupta won this seat by more than 29000 votes. Along with Rekha Gupta, Parvesh Verma, Ashish Sood, Pankaj Singh, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Kapil Mishra and Ravindra Indraj also took oath.
