First All India Police Weightlifting Cluster 2024-25: UP Police won a total of 12 medals, police teams from across the country showed their strength

Weightlifting, powerlifting, and yoga events were successfully organised in the first All India Police Weightlifting Cluster 2024-25.

33 central and state police teams from across the country participated in this competition. The Uttar Pradesh Police team performed brilliantly in this competition and won a total of 12 medals including 3 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze, which is the highest in this event.

The performance of other police teams in the competition was as follows:

BSF: Won a total of 4 medals including 3 gold, 1 silver.

Rajasthan Police: Won a total of 6 medals including 2 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze.

Chhattisgarh Police: Won a total of 3 medals including 2 gold, 1 bronze.

SSB: Succeeded in winning 2 gold medals.

Punjab Police: Won a total of 4 medals including 1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze.

Orissa Police: Won a total of 2 medals including 1 gold, 1 silver.

CRPF: Won a total of 2 medals including 1 gold, 1 bronze.

Maharashtra Police: Succeeded in winning 1 gold medal.

In the medal ceremony, Chief Guest Dipanshu Kabra, ADGP, PHQ Raipur, Jitendra Shukla Superintendent of Police Durg and Diwakar Prasad Singh, Regional Head Bank of Baroda, along with other senior officers presented medals to the players and congratulated them.

This competition has promoted sportsmanship and enthusiasm among the police personnel. All the teams participating in the event showed their hard work and dedication, which gave this competition a high level of success.

Successful organisation of the third day of the First All India Police Weightlifting Cluster 2024-25.

The First All India Police Weightlifting Cluster 2024-25 is being organised by Chhattisgarh Police at 1st Battalion Chhattisgarh Armed Force, Bhilai from Monday September 23 to Wednesday September 25. On the third day of this competition, Chief Guest Ram Gopal Garg, Inspector General of Police, Durg Range, Durg, D. Shravan, DIG, CAF Police Headquarters Raipur, and Rajesh Kukreja, Commandant 1st Battalion, were prominently present to award the winners in Yoga, Powerlifting, and Weightlifting events organised at Jain Bhawan, Agrasen Bhawan Sector 6, and Maharashtra Mandal Sector 4, Bhilai. They honored the winners of different events by presenting them gold, silver, and bronze medals.

81 kg Men’s Category:

  1. Gold: Trideep Baira (SSB Police)
  2. Silver: Esakki Pandi (Tamil Nadu Police)
  3. Bronze: Akash (Uttar Pradesh Police)

59 kg Women’s Category:

  1. Gold: Manalisha Sonowal (CRPF)
  2. Silver: Mamta Kumari (BSF)
  3. Bronze: Solani Singh (Uttar Pradesh Police)

64 kg Women’s Category:

  1. Gold: K. Roshilata Devi (SSB Police)
  2. Silver: Mandeep (CISF)
  3. Bronze: Mandeep Kaur (BSF)

Powerlifting Competition:

76 kg women category:

  1. Gold: Priyanka Shukla (Uttar Pradesh Police)
  2. Silver: Anju Singh (Chhattisgarh Police)
  3. Bronze: Reema Devi (Haryana Police)

84 kg women category:

  1. Gold: Subhasmita Mohanty (Odisha Police)
  2. Silver: Archana Selvan Nadar (Maharashtra Police)
  3. Bronze: Chandravati (Rajasthan Police)

Medal Ceremony:

The chief guest in this grand medal ceremony was Ram Gopal Garg, Inspector General of Police, Durg Range, Durg, Shri D. Shravan, DIG, CAF Police Headquarters Raipur, Shri Rajesh Kukreja, Commandant 1st Battalion, Mrs. Pragya Meshram, Officer in Charge, Shri Irfan Ul Rahim Khan, Deputy Commander, Shri Bharat Lal Dhruv, Assistant Sub-Inspector, Shri Sanjay Pundir, DSP, Shri Netram Agarwal (Durg), Shri Avtar Singh, Shri Rajesh Kumar, and Shri Suman Singh (Balco) were prominently present at the medal ceremony.

Today on third day of the competition showcased the excellent performance and hard work of the police personnel. This event proved to be an ideal platform to promote sportsmanship among the police force, thereby inspiring all the participants.
