The SIT team has achieved a major success in the case of the murder of journalist Mukesh Chandrakar in Chhattisgarh. The team has arrested the accused contractor from Hyderabad.
The accused contractor Suresh Chandrakar, who was absconding after the murder of Bijapur journalist Mukesh Chandrakar, was arrested by the SIT team from Hyderabad last night. He is being brought to Bijapur where further action will be taken. On the other hand, the police arrested Suresh’s wife from Kanker district.
Mukesh had published a news regarding poor road construction. After which the contractor’s brother Ritesh Chandrakar reached the house of contractor Suresh Chandrakar in Chattanpara of Bijapur on the night of January 1. Where during dinner at night, the accused Ritesh Chandrakar said that despite having a family relationship with Mukesh Chandrakar, he was obstructing our work instead of helping us. During this, an argument took place.
During this time, the accused Ritesh Chandrakar, along with the supervisor Mahendra Ramteke present in the house, killed Mukesh Chandrakar by hitting him on his head, chest, stomach and back with an iron rod. To dispose of the body, it was thrown into a nearby septic tank. It was closed with a slab lid.
Accused Suresh’s wife arrested from Kanker
After the incident, Ritesh, telling about the murder, took his car and parked it near Raipur airport and fled to Delhi, while Surendra fled to Hyderabad in his car. In this case, the police arrested Ritesh from Delhi and other accused from Bijapur. While the SIT team formed after the murder of Mukesh has arrested Suresh Chandrakar from Hyderabad and he is being brought to Bijapur, where further action is being taken. Suresh’s wife has been arrested from Kanker district.
After the arrest of the killers in the case of murder of Bijapur journalist Mukesh Chandrakar, action is being taken to seize the illegal possession of the main accused and contractor Suresh Chandrakar. The accused contractor had illegal possession of five acres of land on Gangalore road. A bulldozer has been run on the contractor’s farm house. On the other hand, the car of accused Ritesh Chandrakar has been seized from Raipur airport.
All bank accounts and ATM transactions of contractor Suresh Chandrakar have been seized. They are also being monitored to ensure that they do not make any kind of digital transaction. The forest department team left to clear the illegal encroachment done by the contractor on the forest department land in Bijapur. The administration’s bulldozer ran on all the illegal encroachments of the accused.

Young journalist Mukesh Chandrakar of Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, who exposed corruption of Rs 120 crore in road construction, has been brutally murdered. Contractor’s clerk Ramteke and his brother Ritesh Chandrakar carried out the crime. Mukesh was attacked with a steel rod. After the crime, an attempt was made to destroy the evidence. Suresh Chandrakar has been made the main accused in the case. Both the accused have been arrested. An 11-member SIT team has been formed to investigate the case.
Dead body found in septic tank
Actually Mukesh was missing since 7 pm on January 1. His body was found in a septic tank. His body was taken out from the septic tank built in the house of contractor and his relative Suresh Chandrakar.
‘Congress leader Suresh Chandrakar is the mastermind of the murder’
On the case of murder of journalist Mukesh Chandrakar, Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma said that in the Mukesh Chandrakar murder case, the police have detained Congress leader Suresh Chandrakar’s relatives Ritesh Chandrakar, Dinesh Chandrakar and Mahendra Ramteke. Taking immediate action, an 11-member SIT has been formed under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police IPS Mayank Gurjar to investigate the case thoroughly. Four different teams are working in different directions to catch the absconding Congress leader Suresh Chandrakar. We will try our best for a speedy trial of the case. The mastermind of the murder is Congress leader Suresh Chandrakar, he is a state official of Congress.
