Masaba Gupta wore a fitting look for her biscuit and caramel-themed baby shower
Fashion designer Massab Gupta is all set to become a mother soon. On Sunday October 27 ,2024 , actress Sonam Kapoor and her sister, producer Rhea Kapoor, hosted an intimate baby shower for the mom-to-be. But this was no ordinary baby shower — a special biscuit and caramel theme was chosen for the celebration. Masaba, glowing with delight, was dressed in a light brown gown; which she posted about in her latest Instagram photo. It showed a series of pregnancy pictures of Masaba, husband Satyadeep Misra and their dog (who also happened to be in theme with the colour palette of the day). The mom-to-be wore a custom House Of Masaba dress of long sleeves and a flared body which reached her ankle in length. With pointed beige pumps, she paired the look with a multi-layered necklace and dangling earrings. Complementing it was a monochrome makeup look and her hair pulled back in a slick ponytail.
The event was attended by close family and friends, including Neena Gupta, Soni Razdan, Shaheen Bhatt, Akanksha Ranjan, Samiksha Pednekar, Pooja Dhingra, and others. Rhea and Sonam were also sporting outfits in similar hues. Masaba’s adorable baby bump took centre stage in all the pictures and videos circulating online. Here is a glimpse of the celebration shared on Masaba’s Instagram Stories.
Earlier this month, Masaba Gupta talked about how motherhood is about embracing change. In a chat with Haper’s Bazar India she said, “People often say, ‘Oh my God, your life is gonna change after a baby comes along,’ but they say it negatively. The whole point of having a baby is to embrace change.” The fashion designer also shared how she manages her professional life during this special time. “I’ve established a system that allows me to step away from work when needed, without feeling guilty. This approach has been invaluable in balancing my professional responsibilities and personal well-being during this special time,” she added.
Massab Gupta announced her pregnancy back in April . The designer shared a photo of herself and her husband actor Satyadeep Misra sitting on the floor. Alongside the pictures, she penned a note and asked everyone to send good wishes and “banana chips.” She wrote, “In other news – Two little feet are on their way to us! Please send love, blessings and banana chips (plain salted ONLY) #babyonboard #mom&dad.”
