New Delhi / Raipur : Reacting to the major success of security forces against Naxalism in Gariaband today on Tuesday January 21, 2025 Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “Naxalism has suffered another major blow. 14 Naxalites have been killed in a joint operation by CRPF, SOG Odisha and Chhattisgarh Police on the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border. This is the result of the courage and dedication of our security forces.” The Home Minister further said, “With our resolve for a Naxal-free India and the joint efforts of the security forces, Naxalism is breathing its last today. This is the result of the firm policies of our government and the hard work of the security forces.
We are fully committed to free India from Naxalism soon.” Deputy CM Vijay Sharma said: “14 Naxalites killed in Gariaband encounter, CC member with a bounty of Rs 1 crore killed” , . Reacting to the encounter in Kulhadighat area under Mainpur police station in Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh, Deputy Chief Minister and State Home Minister Vijay Sharma said, “This is a historic and very big success against Naxalites. 14 Naxalites have been killed in this encounter, among whom a CC member Naxalite with a bounty of Rs. 1 crore has also been killed. This incident has happened for the first time in the history of Naxal operation, which is a big achievement of the security forces. Sharma Added .
He said, “This success is the result of the bravery and determination of our security forces. Through this operation, our fight against Naxalites has been strengthened further, and we are completely committed to eradicate Naxalism.”
