Delhi government’s Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh held a review meeting with health officials on Friday May 23, 2025 regarding the current situation of Covid-19. As of Thursday, 23 cases of Covid have been confirmed in Delhi.
Once again, there is an increase in the cases of Covid-19. In this regard, the Directorate General of Health Services has issued an advisory to all hospitals to ensure beds, oxygen, ventilators and other facilities. In this, it has been advised to wear masks in the hospital premises.
23 cases of Covid confirmed in Delhi
Delhi government’s Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh held a review meeting with health officials on Friday regarding the current situation of Covid-19. Till Thursday, 23 cases of Covid have been confirmed in Delhi. The government is in the process of verification of the current confirmed cases of Covid. It is being ascertained whether these patients are from Delhi or have travelled from outside. Let us tell you that so far information about nine infected has come to the fore in NCR. Four of these are in Ghaziabad, three in Gurugram and two in Faridabad.
Hospitals were alerted
The Health Minister said that people need not panic. The government is fully prepared to deal with any situation. Coordination has been done with the Medical Superintendents, doctors and their team of all the hospitals in Delhi. Hospitals and health facilities have been put on alert.
People should follow health and safety guidelines
The Health Department is keeping a close watch on the situation. Will keep informing people from time to time. People are appealed to follow all health and safety guidelines and cooperate with the officials. The Health Department of the Delhi Government has issued an advisory to all the hospitals of the Delhi Government regarding the preparations for COVID-19.
Nine infected found in NCR so far
Nine corona patients have been found in Ghaziabad, Gurugram and Faridabad adjoining Delhi. According to the report, three new corona patients have been confirmed in Gurugram, two in Faridabad and four in Ghaziabad.
Retrain health workers
According to the advisory, health workers should be trained again to deal with COVID-19. Ensure the availability of beds, oxygen, antibiotics, other medicines and vaccines in hospitals. All equipment in the hospital like ventilator, bi-pap, oxygen concentrator, PSA etc. should be in functional condition.
