60th DGP-IGP Conference: Deep brainstorming on National Security, Naxalism Eradication and Developed India @2047

A 12-hour grand session chaired by Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Shah held on the theme of “Developed India, Safe India.

Raipur: The second day of the 60th All India DGP-IGP Conference on Saturday November 29, 2025 was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, along with top officials from police and security agencies across the country were present.

As many as four sessions were held, with presentations by DGPs from each state. The focus was on national security and emerging challenges, and the implementation of previous recommendations were reviewed.
In addition, the increasing use of technology in women’s safety wasa key discussion .

Topics such as the management of public movements and the need for a robust mechanism, brainstorming on a roadmap for the return of Indian fugitives, and the extensive use of forensics and an emphasis on successful investigations were discussed during the sessions.
The meeting was held under the theme of “Developed India, Safe India.” Chhattisgarh DGP Arun Dev Gautam provided information on Bastar 2.0.

The development strategy for Bastar after the elimination of Naxalism in March 2026 was also discussed . Counter-terrorism: Trends and Measures were part of discussion .

The Special Director of the Intelligence Bureau were also present at a presentation on Vision 2047.


PM Modi arrived at IIM Raipur at 8:15 am. A welcome ceremony was held for PM Modi at the DGP/IG Conference. Following the reception, continuous meetings were held until 8 pm. For 12 hours, in-depth discussions have taken place on topics such as national security, terrorism, Naxalism, and cybersecurity. At 8:35 pm, PM Modi left for the Speaker’s House at House M-01, wherever Union Home Minister Amit Shah is staying in M-11.

The new Circuit House has accommodation for NSA Ajit Doval, Deputy NSA Anish Dayal Singh, IB Chief Tapan Deka, the Union Home Secretary, and both Union Ministers of State for Home Affairs. Six suites and 22 rooms have been booked at the Circuit House. 140 rooms have been booked at Thakur Pyarelal Institute and 91 rooms at Nemora Academy. 75 police officers, including DGPs from 33 states and 20 DGs/ADGs of paramilitary forces are staying at the event venue .

ADG Dipanshu Kabra and IG Amresh Mishra have been assigned responsibility for security arrangements during the DGP-IG Conference.

They were oordinating with state police, central forces, intelligence, and other security agencies, and oversee the overall arrangements.
The conference provides a vital interactive platform for senior police officers and security administrators from across the country to engage in open and meaningful discussions on a variety of national security issues.

It discussed operational, infrastructural, and welfare challenges facing police forces, as well as facilitates the creation and sharing of professional practices to combat crime, maintain law and order, and address internal security threats.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently shown keen interest in this annual conference and encouraged candid discussions. He has fostered an environment where new ideas on policing can emerge. Business sessions, in-depth discussions, and thematic discussions provide participants with an opportunity to share their views directly with the Prime Minister on important internal security and policy matters.
