Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for including 78 more schools of Chhattisgarh in the PM Shri scheme to develop them as model schools. He said that 263 PM Shri schools were approved in the state, with the new approval this number has now increased to 341.
Chief Minister Sai has said that it is a matter of joy that Prime Minister Modi has resolved to make India developed by the year 2047 and is constantly taking new decisions in this direction. The effort to improve the educational infrastructure and level of education through PM Shri Yojana will definitely play an important role in the creation of a developed India.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that these schools included in the PM Shri Yojana will have excellent science laboratories, libraries, vocational labs under the National Education Policy 2020, which will take Chhattisgarh to new heights in the field of education. He has also expressed gratitude to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for this important decision in the field of education.
It is worth mentioning that under the PM Shri scheme, 211 schools have been approved by the Government of India in the first phase, 52 in the third phase and 78 in the fourth phase. All the 78 schools included in the fourth phase are from class 1st to 12th.
In the first phase, the schools approved under the PM Shri scheme have been upgraded, while the schools approved in the third phase are being upgraded. Facilities like smart classrooms, state-of-the-art labs for science and mathematics, sports facilities, and digital libraries are being developed in these schools.
It is worth mentioning here that the PM Shri scheme was launched in the state of Chhattisgarh on February 19, 2024 by Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan. On this occasion, he appreciated the efforts being made by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu De Sai regarding the quality of education in the state.
Under PM Shri, there is a plan to develop it as an ideal school by spending Rs 2-2 crore per school. In accordance with the National Education Policy 2020, the aim is to develop schools as model schools under the PM Shri Yojana.
