Minister in charge of Janjgir-Champa district and Finance Minister of Chhattisgarh State O.P. Choudhary virtually inaugurated the canteen under Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Shram Anna Yojana at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Thermal Power Project, Madwa.
Under this scheme, hot and fresh food with rice, dal, vegetable, pickle or chutney will be provided to the manufacturing, organised and unorganised workers of the power plant for just Rs 5. On this occasion, Choudhary also virtually interacted with the workers of Madwa Power Plant, Satish Kumar and Ramesh Kurre. The workers praised the scheme and said that they are getting nutritious and fresh food at a low price, which is increasing their working capacity.
Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Shram Anna Yojana is being operated in Chhattisgarh since the year 2017, and this scheme has proved to be extremely beneficial for the workers. Through this, the workers not only get affordable food, but their health also remains better. District level officers and employees were also present in this program, who expressed their support for the successful operation of this scheme.
