An important meeting regarding the organisational elections was held at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi on Sunday December 29, 2024 . BJP National President JP Nadda, National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh, all General Secretaries, all State Presidents and all State General Secretaries as well as the head and co-head of the organisational election process attended it.
New Delhi : BJP may get a new national president in the new year at the end of January 2025 . BJP leader PT Kunzang said that the elections of state and district presidents will be completed by January 15. After this, the process of election of the national president of the party will start and the new national president will be announced in the end of January or the first week of February.

After the meeting, Kunzang said that all aspects of the election process of the organisation were discussed in the meeting.
Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand may get new presidents by January 15. The term of the party’s national president JP Nadda has ended in 2023. However, his term was extended in view of the Lok Sabha and assembly elections of many states. Nadda was made the president of the party in January 2020. According to the BJP constitution, a person can remain the president for a maximum of two consecutive terms. Also, Nadda has been included in the Union Cabinet, so his hope of becoming the president again is over.
BJP will celebrate Sushasan Parv throughout the year
Kunzang said that the party has decided to celebrate the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for a whole year. This year he has completed 100 years. To make this special occasion memorable, the BJP will celebrate his birth anniversary as Sushasan Parv for a whole year. He said that it was also decided that the party will also celebrate Samvidhan Parv in response to the Congress’s allegation of insulting BR Ambedkar.
