The Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh Police has intensified the investigation of the stampede that took place on Mauni Amavasya in Prayagraj Mahakumbh. UP STF teams are engaged in investigating the conspiracy angle. Efforts are being made to find out whether the stampede was caused in the Mahakumbh as part of a conspiracy. As part of its investigation, UP STF is scrutinizing the data of mobile numbers active around Sangam Nose.

UP Police is on high alert regarding the bath of Vasant Panchami. Senior officers of UP Police will be active in the field in Mahakumbh and Prayagraj throughout tonight. The third Amrit Snan to be held in Maha Kumbh on the occasion of Vasant Panchami will start from 5 am on Monday. First of all, Panchayati Akhara will reach Sangam Ghat at 4 am for Mahanirvani Amrit Snan. After this, one by one other 12 Akharas will also take a dip in Sangam.
Let us inform you that on the day of Mauni Amavasya on the intervening night of 29 and 30 January, there was a stampede in Prayagraj Maha Kumbh at around 2 o’clock. About 16 hours after the incident, the Maha Kumbh administration confirmed the death of 30 devotees and injuries to 60.
