What began as a Reddit thread, soon made its way to news portals. Amid reports that the couple is heading for a divorce after 37 years of marriage, here’s all we know.
Govinda-Sunita Ahuja Divorce: What We Know
Reports indicate that the couple’s marriage is facing trouble. Sunita, who had been living separately for some time, has reportedly decided to end their union. After nearly four decades together, they are said to be heading for a divorce, according to unverified sources. Their marriage allegedly hit rock bottom due to frequent quarrels and disagreements over their lifestyles. Some reports even suggest the involvement of a third person.
Now, we have learned that it is Sunita who wants a divorce. According to a report by Vickey Lalwani, the actor is keen on giving his marriage a second chance and seeing if their issues can be resolved. However, his wife is reluctant to take him back.
Govinda’s Manager Has THIS To Say
Meanwhile, a report in ETimes confirmed the ongoing “issues” between the couple. Govinda’s manager was quoted as saying, “There have been issues between the couple due to certain statements made by certain members from the family. There is nothing more to it and Govinda is in process of starting a film for which artists are visiting our office. We are trying to resolve it.
The same report also claims that Sunita had sent a legal separation notice to Govinda a while back; however, there has been no development since.
Sunita On Living In Separate Houses
Earlier this year, Govinda’s wife left everyone shocked when she revealed that she doesn’t live with Govinda in the same house. The Hero No 1 actor lives in his bungalow while his wife and kids stay in a flat opposite the residence.
After the revelation sparked speculations of separation, Sunita clarified in an interview with Shirdi Today, “Nobody can separate us. I have a lot of fun with him. There are people who want to break homes more than outsiders. I won’t let anyone break homes. I will win because Baba is with me.”
Recently, she made headlines by revealing that she celebrates her birthday alone.
