Raipur : Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries has an important role in the creation of developed Chhattisgarh. Trade, business and industry are developing rapidly in the state, due to which Chhattisgarh is leading in GST collection. Our successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged to make India a developed country by the year 2047. For this, we all have to work together to make Chhattisgarh a developed country.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said this while addressing the oath taking ceremony of Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries organised at Shaheed Smarak Auditorium in the capital Raipur. Chamber President Satish Thaurani, General Secretary Ajay Bhasin, Treasurer Nikesh Bardia and other officials took oath in the program.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai said that Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries has been functioning for 62 years, with 12 lakh traders associated with it. For the first time in the history of this largest trader organisation of the state, the election has been completed unanimously, which is a proof of the unity of the organisation. This organisation should continue this tradition in future as well. He said that important decisions have been taken by the state government for the advancement of industry and trade in the state.

The Chief Minister said that our government has always given priority to small traders. The limit of e-way bill has been increased from 50 thousand to 1 lakh rupees. We have reduced VAT on petrol by Rs 1 per liter. Giving relief to the traders, VAT liability of up to Rs 25 thousand has been waived in 10-year old pending cases. 40 thousand traders of the state are getting its benefit.

New Industrial Policy: Proposals for investment of Rs 4.5 lakh crore in the state

Chief Minister Sai further said that the new industrial policy has created a positive environment in the state for industries. Since its implementation, the state has received investment proposals worth Rs 4.5 lakh crore. Recently, the ground breaking ceremony of a semiconductor manufacturing plant was held in Nava Raipur. of late we organised investor meets in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Businessmen and industrialists across the country are very enthusiastic about investment in our state . They want to join the development journey of Chhattisgarh, CM added.

Request to promote the new industrial policy as much as possible

The Chief Minister urged the Chamber of C ommerce officials to promote the new industrial policy of the state government as much as possible, so that maximum investment can be attracted to the state. He also congratulated and wished the newly elected officials.

On this occasion, Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh said that the flow of money in the market is necessary for the state’s economy. Farmers are the pivot of our economy. Chief Minister Sai made a record purchase of paddy from farmers at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal and 21 quintals per acre. Two years’ paddy bonus was also given. The state budget has increased from 6000 crores to 1 lakh 60 thousand crores. The highest number of automobile sales in the country is happening in Chhattisgarh, which shows that our economy is moving forward rapidly. By the year 2047, Chhattisgarh will be among the first three developed states of the country. The Chamber will also have a significant role in the development of the state.

Former Raipur MP and Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais said that the state government in Chhattisgarh is making every possible effort for the development of industry and trade. Similarly, the industry is also contributing to the development of the state. When both wheels move together, the pace of development increases rapidly.

Raipur MP Brijmohan Agarwal said that the unanimous elections of the Chamber show that the business world will move forward rapidly. No one can stop the progress of a country that promotes trade, business and industry. This work is being done efficiently in Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Chief Minister Sai. He urged the members of the Chamber to distribute water, pana and buttermilk to provide relief to the people in summer.

On this occasion, Saint Sai Uday Shadani, Sai Lalladas, Amma Mahant Meera Devi, many public representatives, chairmen of corporations and boards and a large number of eminent citizens were present.
