Journalism and Masscom Dept. of Pragati College , Raipur organises a “get together seminar” 

Journalism and Mass Communication department of Pragati College has organised a “get together seminar” on May 5 , 2025

The statement of the  Principal highlighted the core role of journalism in society. It emphasised journalism’s function as a mirror, reflecting social issues and bringing them to light. She  also calls upon students to fulfill their responsibilities in journalism with honesty, followed by a student-led program and pursuit activities.

A get together program was organised on Monday 5, 2025 in the Pragati College of Journalism and Mass Communication Department .

The program was inaugurated by performing puja of Goddes of knowledge, arts and music Saraswati, worshipped by lighting a lamp and praising her.

The program was presided over by Principal of the Pragati College Dr. Soumya Nayyar .

In her presidential address, Principal said that the field of journalism is such a wide spread which works to show the mirror to the society. It works to bring the problems of the common people in front of the society. While fulfilling their responsibilities, she called upon the students to perform their duties honestly, Principal Nayyar added ,

Later on a colorful program was presented by the students besides entertaining by games like Musical chairs etc . .

All the Faculties encouraged their students by wishing them a bright future. The junior students delighted their seniors with various entertaining programs of dances, songs and games. After proper evaluation of the event , the students who were awarded with various awards are:-

*Best Personality MaleMannu Raj Sharma(BA MC 3rd Year)

On the occasion, the Principal of the college Dr. Soumya Nayyar , Administrator Ms. Jyoti Thakur, Head of Journalism Department Dr. Praveen Yadav, and Head of the Education Department, Dr. K.N. Gajpal , Librarian Sunil Singh , faculties of the BAMC Dept. Kumar Bahukhandi, Sanjeev Verma and other professors and students of the Journalism Department marked their dignified presence.
