PM Modi J&K Visit Live Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Jammu and Kashmir on Friday June 6, 2025 , where he will inaugurate the Chenab Bridge and Anji Bridge. The Prime Minister will flag off the Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat train. The Chenab Bridge, the world’s tallest railway arch bridge, will provide all-weather rail connectivity to the Kashmir Valley from across India and reduce the Katra-Srinagar travel time. This is the Prime Minister’s first visit to Kashmir after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. He has come here to gift projects worth 46 thousand crores.
This initiative will improve connectivity and it was said that ‘Dil ki Doori and Delhi ki Doori will be reduced’. This visit will boost tourism and economic development in the region.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Chenab Bridge. This bridge is higher than the Eiffel Tower and is considered a symbol of India’s engineering strength. It has cost around 1500 crores to build it.
