Sai apprised Shah about the achievements of Naxal operation and development in Bastar region

New Delhi : Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Friday June 6 , 2025 . During the meeting , the Chief Minister gave detailed information about the successes of anti-Maoist operations in the state so far and the development works going on in the Bastar region. Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma and Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Singh were present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister said that with the new strategy of the state government and the cooperation of the Center, the Naxal eradication campaign has been brought to a decisive turn. The intensive campaigns conducted in the last one and a half years have yielded positive results. As many as 1,428 Maoists have surrendered, which is a significant increase compared to the last five years.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai also briefed the Onion Home Minister that as many as 427 Maoists were killed in 205 encounters, including notorious Maoists like top leader of the organization general secretary Basava Raju and Central Committee member Sudhakar. besides , 64 new forward security camps have been established in the state, which has strengthened the security network.

He informed that basic facilities like electricity, drinking water, health services and schools are now being rapidly provided to the villages located around these security camps. 18 types of community services and 25 types of government schemes are being implemented in an integrated manner in 146 villages identified under the ‘Niyad Nellnar Yojana’, which has increased the confidence of the local people in the governance system.

Home Minister Amit Shah appreciated the progress report presented by Chief Minister Sai and said that decisive control over Maoist activities is becoming possible due to the efforts of the Chhattisgarh government and the central government together . Union Home Minister Shah assured to continue to provide all possible assistance to the state.
