In the year 2014, while India was at the 10th position in the world in economic terms, today it has reached the fourth position, and soon we are moving towards reaching the third position. Keeping in mind the Prime Minister’s goal of making India a developed nation by 2047, a vision document and a new industrial policy have been prepared for developed Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Sai extended his heartfelt best wishes on the 14th anniversary of Dainik Navpradesh. He said that we are celebrating the silver jubilee of Chhattisgarh. I had the good fortune to witness and experience the historic discussion on the Chhattisgarh creation bill as an MP in Parliament. Coming from a tribal family, I have seen the problems of starvation in the state. The PDS system implemented in 2003 under the leadership of Dr. Raman Singh freed Chhattisgarh from this serious problem.

The Chief Minister said that today 15 medical colleges are operating in the state. Higher education institutions like IIT, IIM and National Law University have been established in Chhattisgarh. Prosperity has increased in the state and education and health services have reached the common people.

Chief Minister Sai said that the new industrial policy has received a positive response from entrepreneurs. The state has received investment proposals worth about Rs 6.5 lakh crore. Work has started in the field of semiconductor chips and artificial intelligence. The state has also received huge investment proposals in the energy sector.

CM said that on one hand the government is providing government jobs to the youth, on the other hand emphasis is also being laid on providing employment in the private sector through skilling. The provision of bespoke policy in the new industrial policy is an important initiative in employment generation.

The Chief Minister said that there has been a continuous increase in the irrigation area in Chhattisgarh. Recently, during his visit to Delhi, the Bodhghat project was discussed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This project will provide ample irrigation water to the farmers of Bastar region. Along with this, work has also been started on the interlinking project of Indravati and Mahanadi, due to which the irrigation area will increase to 7 lakh hectares. He said that Bastar is now in the mainstream of development. Where once the sound of bullets was heard, now the bells of schools are resonating there. Dhudmaras has received international recognition in the tourism sector by the United Nations.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that in the last 25 years, Chhattisgarh has proved that development is not only done by area or population, but by the proper use of resources and willpower. Today the financial condition of the state has strengthened. Iron from Chhattisgarh’s Bhilai Steel Plant has been used in the Chenab Bridge recently inaugurated by the Prime Minister.

He said that Chhattisgarh has today become a leading state in all major sectors like steel, cement, energy. There has been significant progress in the power infrastructure of the state. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Sai, paddy is being purchased at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal.
