IPS Alok Raj becomes the new DGP of Bihar

Bihar: A new DGP has been appointed in Bihar. Nitish government has issued a notification for the appointment of the new DGP. Surveillance DG Alok Raj (1989 batch IPS ) has been made the new in-charge captain of Bihar Police. He has been given additional charge of DGP. At the same time, RS Bhatti has been relieved to go on central deputation. It is worth noting that Bihar DGP RS Bhatti was relieved by the central government on Wednesday August 28

1989 batch IPS Alok Raj has been given the charge of new DGP of Bihar. 1989 batch IPS officer Alok Raj is the DG of Vigilance Bureau Bihar and has been given the charge of DGP till further orders. In addition to his responsibilities, Director General of Police of Vigilance Investigation Bureau Alok Raj will also be in charge of Director General of Police Bihar Patna till further orders. The Home Department has issued a notification regarding this.

Let us inform you that Bihar DGP RS Bhatti, who was seeking central deputation, has been made the Director General of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

After he left Bihar, the post of DGP of Bihar became vacant. IPS Alok Raj, Shobha Ahotkar and Vinay Kumar were in the race for DGP and speculations were being made about many names. But now all the speculations have come to an end. Alok Raj will remain the DGP of Bihar till further orders. He has been given the additional charge of DGP of Bihar. Let us also inform you that Alok Raj was called to meet at the Chief Minister’s residence. and after that only a notification was issued by the Home Department saying that Vigilance Bureau Bihar DG Alok Raj has been given the charge of DGP till further orders.
