Raipur: The Children from five remote Gram Panchayats of Sukma district, who had come on an educational tour to the capital Raipur under the Niyyad Nellnar Yojana in the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly on Tuesday July 15, 2025 , paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.

Chief Minister Sai had a gracious conversation with the children and enquired about their well-being and gave them a warm welcome in the capital Raipur. He said that making the future of the children of Bastar bright is among the top priorities of the state government. The government is determined to provide all the basic facilities including education, health, road, electricity, water to every corner of Bastar.

Chief Minister Sai, while talking affectionately with the children, said that through this educational tour, you have got an opportunity to see and understand the capital Raipur closely. Similarly, the state government is also developing at a rapid pace in the Bastar region. He said that security forces camps are now being set up in remote areas, and wherever these camps reach, doors of all-round development open there.

Now government ration shops have been established in most of the places and the benefits of public welfare schemes are reaching the common citizens. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that Bastar will be a completely Naxal-free area in the near future.

The Chief Minister asked the children smilingly – “Did the children of Bastar see the lion in the jungle safari of Raipur or not?” Everyone present including the children laughed out loud at this funny style.

CM Sai said that the state government is constantly working towards a self-reliant Bastar. To make the people of Bastar economically strong, they are also being linked to milk production. The government is ensuring employment opportunities at the local level along with education, so that the future of the children of the region can be safe and prosperous.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, MLAs Ishwar Sahu and Sushant Shukla were also present on this occasion.

It is worth mentioning that under the Niyad Nellanaar scheme, 100 school children from five remote Gram Panchayats of Sukma district—Paalachalma, Potkapalli, Elmagunda, Tadmetla and Golapalli—have come on a two-day educational tour to the capital Raipur. During the tour, these children were shown important places like Mantralaya, Jungle Safari, Railway Station and Airport. It is known that under the Niyad Nellanaar scheme, educational tour opportunities are being provided to children from five Naxal-affected districts of Bastar.
