Conspiracy to tarnish the image of the Finance Minister and the Government by spreading misleading news – facts revealed

Raipur: A news portal is presenting misleading and factless news and is trying to tarnish the image of Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary and the state government. An attempt is being made to defame the image of the government by using words like “Shahi Daftar (Royal Office ) of 13 Crore 89 Lakh” and “Jhoomar”(Chandelier).

It is clarified that about a year and a quarter ago, the mention of Rs 1389 lakh in the list of Public Works Department (PWD) in the third supplementary budget of the year 2023-24 was completely erroneous. In this regard, the Chief Engineer had written a letter to the government on 12 February 2024 during the then assembly session and informed that due to clerical error “1389.00 lakh” has been mentioned, whereas the actual amount is “13.89 lakh”.

After this, the amendment notice was presented in the assembly and the said amendment notice was read during the session on 14 February 2024 at 12:03 pm. According to the amendment notice, the amendment of “13.89 lakh” was also made at the same time.

Any interested person can view all the documents related to the amendment notice. Also, the video available in the library of the Vidhan Sabha can also be seen in this regard.

Despite all these clear and proven facts, an attempt is being made to tarnish the image of Finance Minister O.P. Chaudhary and the state government by deliberately running the news of Rs 1389 lakh.

Finance Minister O.P. Chaudhary has said that before the construction of the office, visitors had to sit in the garage and in the open in the sun or rain. Now all the visitors sit in this office, which has been seen by thousands of people. This office has been built for public convenience. The option of legal action against those who broadcast misleading and wrong news like “1389 lakh” and “jhoomar” is also being discussed with lawyers.
