Raipur: Naxalism in Bastar is rapidly moving towards its end. Under the ‘Niyad Nellanar’ scheme, villagers in the interior areas are being rapidly connected to basic government schemes. Like other parts of the state, Bastar too aims to reach new heights of development. The state government has fulfilled most of its guarantees in a short period of about two years and is continuously striving to make Chhattisgarh a prosperous state. Chief Minister Sai made this statement while addressing the Budhadev Mahotsav organized by the Gada Samaj in Kondagaon on Monday November 17, 2025 .

On teh occasion, Chief Minister Sai performed the groundbreaking ceremony and inauguration of 61 development projects worth ₹127 crore. He announced ₹90 lakh for the construction of the Kongud-Dhanora road, ₹39 crore for the Keshkal-Vishrampuri road, and ₹2.71 crore for a 100-seater hostel for Scheduled Tribe girls in Kudhur village. He also announced ₹1.5 crore for the operation of a multipurpose center, a disabled center, and a coaching center. At the event, Chief Minister Shri Sai also released a coffee table book (Journey of Dignity: Story of NRLM Kondagaon), an early childhood care booklet, a helpline number for high-risk pregnancies, a helmet bank, and a nutritional development chart.

Addressing the event, Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that the Silver Jubilee celebrations are being held across the state to mark the 25th anniversary of the state’s establishment. He emphasized that the state has no shortage of natural resources and its soil is extremely fertile. 18 lakh houses have been approved in the state. Paddy procurement from farmers began on November 15th. Beneficiaries are continuously being benefited under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Tendu Leaf Collector Welfare Schemes, and Charan Paduka Yojana.

The Chief Minister stated that a good education is essential to becoming a good farmer, businessman, public servant, or politician. Therefore, everyone should pay special attention to the education of children.

MLA Lata Usendi also addressed the program, highlighting the state government’s achievements and welfare schemes.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai was warmly welcomed upon his arrival with a group playing the traditional oinstrument Mohri. Chief Minister Sai also prayed for the prosperity of the people of the state by worshipping Budhadev.

Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, School Education Minister Gajendra Yadav, MP Mahesh Kashyap, MP Bhojraj Nag, MLA Neelkanth Tekam, Kanker MLA Asharam Netam, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Fishermen Welfare Board Bharat Matiara, District Panchayat President Rita Shori, Kamalchandra Bhanjdev, former MP Mohan Mandavi, former MLA Shishupal Shori and officials of Ganda Samaj radeep Kuldeep, Dr. Kiran Baghel and Shri Ashok Chauhan along with a large number of dignitaries were present in the program.
