Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has made a historic announcement on the occasion of Hindi Diwas. Now studies can also be done in Hindi in the government medical colleges of the state. The Chief Minister said that from this session, books will be made available in Hindi language in medical colleges. The main objective of this initiative is to benefit the students of rural areas, so that they can get medical education in their mother tongue and strengthen health services in the area.
While talking to journalists at the CM House, the CM congratulated the Hindi Day and said, the significance of Hindi Day lies in the fact that we implement Hindi at every level of governance, administration and education. He said that we are happy that our Prime Minister Narendra Modi had expressed his intention to provide medical education in Hindi in a rally in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh in February 2022. We are going to implement it.
But my question is what you will call to High Blood pressure and operation like terms in Hindi ?
Students from rural background will get benefit
The Chief Minister said, at present there are 10 government medical colleges in the state. The biggest benefit of providing medical education in Hindi will be to our students from rural background, who are mostly from Hindi medium and are talented, but due to English they face some difficulty in medical courses. Now this problem will be removed. This will also strengthen the base of medical students and will help in preparing good doctors. The biggest advantage of providing education in mother tongue is that it creates a detailed understanding of the subject. We will implement it at every level in Chhattisgarh.
Conversion will be like this: High BP will be called in the book and not high blood pressure
Let us tell you that in Madhya Pradesh, MBBS studies are being done from Hindi books from 2022 and students have also got a big benefit. Hindi medium students will also get a big benefit in Chhattisgarh. Experts say that there will be conversion of books related to medical studies and not translation.
Books up to third year available in MP
Studies of anatomy, physiology and biochemistry have started in the first year in all 13 government medical colleges of Madhya Pradesh. Now the Hindi translation of the books of 12 subjects of second and final year part-one has been completed. The special thing is that English medium students also study from Hindi books many times.
The spine is being taught as spine and not spinal cord
The Hindi book has been prepared in such a way that the teacher and the student do not get confused. The books have not been translated into Hindi, but have been translated. Popular medical words have been kept in it. For example, the spine is being taught as spine instead of spinal cord. Blood pressure is being taught instead of blood pressure. Similarly, forearm is being taught as forehand, surgery as operation or surgery, temperature as temperature. Students are also being taught the knowledge of Chhattisgarhi dialect so that conversation with patients becomes easy.
Knowledge of Chhattisgarhi is also being given in the state. So that important diseases can be understood in Chhattisgarhi and the bonding between patients and doctors is good. Most of the patients in the rural areas of the state understand Chhattisgarhi. Therefore, its classes were also held in medical colleges, so that doctors can also understand the important disease in Chhattisgarhi
