Pitra Paksha is a symbol of respect, love and reverence towards ancestors: CM Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has said in his message issued on the occasion of Pitrra Paksha starting from September 17 that respect for ancestors has been an important part of our tradition, civilization and culture. Pitrra Paksha is a symbol of our respect, love and reverence towards our ancestors. It is believed that ancestors come to their homes during Pitrra Paksha. During this time, we perform Shradh and donations for the salvation and peace of our ancestors. We seek their blessings for happiness in life.

Sai said that we can pay tribute to our ancestors by connecting them with social concerns. By planting trees in the name of ancestors, we can make the memory of our ancestors permanent along with protecting the environment. Environment will also be a unique gift for our future generation. By helping the poor and helpless people in the field of education, health, by providing food to malnourished and needy children, we can play an active role in the society. In true sense, this will be a true tribute to our ancestors.
