Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai unveiled the government calendar for the year 2026 at his official residence in Raipur. The year 2026 is being celebrated by the state government as ‘Maahtari Gaurav Varsh’ (Mother’s Pride Year). Based on this theme, the calendar reflects the resolve for a strong and prosperous Chhattisgarh.
The cover page of the calendar prominently features the five major Shakti Peethas (holy shrines) of Chhattisgarh – Maa Bamleshwari Dongargarh, Maa Mahamaya Ratanpur, Maa Danteshwari Dantewada, Maa Chandrahasini Chandrapur, and Maa Kudargarhi Surajpur.
It also includes photographs of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.
The background incorporates attractive graphical representations of the temples of Sirpur and Rajim, tribal culture, Madheshwar hill, and Chitrakoot waterfall, symbolizing Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural and natural heritage.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said, “Respect and empowerment of women are the highest priority for the state government.
This year, being celebrated as Maahtari Gaurav Varsh, is dedicated to the respect, safety, and economic self-reliance of women. Prepared with this spirit in mind, this government calendar is a powerful symbol of women’s empowerment, the state’s priorities, and our achievements. It incorporates welfare schemes and social concerns that will play a significant role in building a strong and prosperous Chhattisgarh, Sai added..”
The various monthly pages of the calendar feature schemes and campaigns relevant to each month.
The January page showcases the major Shakti Peethas of the state. February depicts the National Intensive Pulse Polio Immunisation campaign, while March is dedicated to the Maahtari Vandan Yojana (Mother’s Respect Scheme). April highlights the Chief Minister’s Kanya Vivah Yojana (Chief Minister’s Girls ‘s Marriage Scheme), May features the Tendu Leaf Collection and Charan Paduka Yojana (Footwear Scheme), and June focuses on the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter) campaign.
The month of July features the system of PDS ration cards issued in the name of the female head of the household. August highlights the Raksha Bandhan festival, September showcases the Didi E-rickshaw assistance scheme, and October focuses on the theme of honoring bravery. November is presented with the spirit of “Service is our resolve,” while December is depicted as a symbol of women’s empowerment.
