Mohan Bhagwat said that we will become a world leader, but not through speeches alone, but through examples. If you are Indian, you have inherited this skill. The Muslims and Christians of India are Indians.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said that the work of the Sangh is unique; there is no such work anywhere in the world. Now, this is being experienced directly. Hindu is not a noun, but an adjective. All those living in India are Hindus.
Addressing an event in Mumbai on the occasion of the RSS completing 100 years, Bhagwat said that the Sangh had decided from the beginning that it would not do any other work except organizing the entire society. I don’t know how you refer to the RSS. Many people say that Narendra Bhai is the Prime Minister, the RSS’s Prime Minister. He has a political party, which is the BJP, and it is separate. There are many volunteers in it, and they are also influential.
He said that the Sangh has not emerged in competition with any other institution, nor in reaction or opposition to anyone. Our work is done without opposing anyone. The Sangh does not need popularity. The Sangh does not need power. The Sangh exists to ensure that all the good work being done in the country is done properly.
He said that our mutual behavior is not based on transactions, but on a sense of belonging. The eternal nature of Hindustan does not change. The sages and saints thought that everyone is our own, so all knowledge should be given to the world. India is rooted in Dharma; everyone has to walk together. No one should be left behind. If you want to live alone, there is no discipline, but if you want to live with everyone, then there is discipline. Since the creation of the universe, it has been running on the basis of Dharma.
Bhagwat said that we will become a world leader, but not through speeches, but through examples. If you are Indian, this skill is inherited. The Muslims and Christians of India are Indians.
He said that there are four types of Hindus in India. First, those who proudly say that they are Hindus. Second, those who say, “So what if we are Hindus? What’s there to be proud of?” Third, those who say, “Speak softly that we are Hindus. If you ask us at home, we will tell you that we are Hindus.” And fourth, those who have forgotten that they are Hindus, or those who have been forced to forget that they are Hindus.
Referring to Hedgewar, Bhagwat said that the RSS has already decided that it will not do any other work except organizing the entire society. Even in very difficult circumstances, Dr. Hedgewar never gave up on two things: first, always getting first class in his studies; and second, actively participating in whatever was happening for the country. These were the permanent tasks of his life. The RSS does not want popularity. The RSS does not want power. The RSS exists to ensure that all the good work being done in the country is done properly.
He said that Hindu is not a noun, but an adjective; all those living in India are Hindus. Secularism is the wrong word. It should be called “religious neutrality” because religion is the basis of life.
