A major step towards rural digital empowerment: Chhattisgarh approved ₹3,942 crore under the Amended BharatNet Program

Digital connectivity will become the new lifeline of a developed Chhattisgarh – Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur:Chhattisgarh has achieved a significant milestone in the field of digital infrastructure. The Ministry of Communications, Government of India, has approved ₹3,942 crore for Chhattisgarh under the Amended BharatNet Program (ABP) recently .

Under this ambitious project, 11,682 gram panchayats in Chhattisgarh will be connected through a ring topology. This ring topology-based network structure will enable the provision of more reliable, secure, and seamless digital services.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that this project is a historic step towards rural digital empowerment. This will expand e-governance services, strengthen online education, provide access to health services in remote areas through telemedicine, and create new opportunities for rural youth and entrepreneurs. Sai added.

The Chief Minister stated that digital connectivity is not just an internet facility, but the new lifeline of a developed Chhattisgarh. This will increase transparency in governance, accelerate the availability of services, and connect villages to the digital economy, CM said .

Chief Minister Sai expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia for this important approval. He said that with the support of the Central Government, Chhattisgarh is rapidly progressing as a digitally empowered, secure, and self-reliant state. the CM affirmed.
