“A Get-Together of Future Teachers at Pragati College”

Raipur : On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, the students of the Department of Education at Pragati College organised a combined Welcome and Farewell ceremony. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by the Saraswati Vandana (hymn to Goddess Saraswati).

Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Soumya Nayyar extended her best wishes to all the students of the Education Department for a bright future. She emphasised that success can only be achieved through effective time management and self-discipline. She further added that, above all, students must strive to become good human beings and must always remember that they are the architects of the future of India’s children.

Dr. K.N. Gajpal, Head of the Department of Education, remarked that it is the teachers who have the power to bring about change in society. He expressed the expectation that these future teachers—once they assume their roles—will prepare their students to dedicate themselves to the service of the nation and society.

On the occasion of this event, all the faculty members of the Education Department welcomed the students and offered them words of encouragement. The Heads of all other departments within the college also extended their best wishes to the students.

The students participated enthusiastically in this get-together program. Senior and junior students joined forces to present a ramp walk. A diverse range of activities—including songs, music, dance performances, games, and various entertainment programs—were organised, providing immense enjoyment for both the staff members and the students.

During the various competitions held throughout the event, students’ talents were evaluated, and awards and prizes were presented to the winners. Mr. & Miss Farewell / Fresher
