Raipur: Aiming to spread awareness regarding cyber fraud, State Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai shared the short film “Khauf – The Digital War”—produced and starring Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Raigarh, Shashi Mohan Singh—on his official Facebook page, conveying a message of caution to the citizens of the country.

In his message, the Chief Minister lauded the film for its effective portrayal of a grave subject like “digital arrest,” describing it as a timely and pertinent initiative.

In a similar vein, the official social media platforms of the CMO Chhattisgarh also shared the aforementioned film, disseminating a message urging citizens to remain aware of and exercise vigilance against cybercrimes, while also commending the issues highlighted within the film.

Responding to this initiative, SSP Shashi Mohan Singh expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister, stating that the Chief Minister’s encouragement serves as a powerful inspiration to strive for even greater excellence in their work.

He noted that the Chief Minister has consistently offered his encouragement. The entire team behind the film is elated by the words of appreciation received from Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. The fact that he personally shared the film on social media is expected to play a pivotal role in significantly boosting public awareness.

It is worth mentioning that the Raigarh Police have extensively shared this cyber-awareness film across various social media platforms—including YouTube—with the specific objective of reaching the widest possible audience.

As part of their future action plan, the police have coordinated with the operators of local cinema halls and multiplexes within the district to arrange for the free screening of this film. Recently, a complimentary screening of the film was also held at AK Cinema in Gharghoda. Furthermore, the Raigarh Police are utilising screenings of this film during various public awareness campaigns to sensitize citizens about the risks associated with cybercrimes.

The primary objective of the short film “Khauf – The Digital War” is to alert the general public to crimes such as cyber fraud, thereby enabling people to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to scams by taking timely precautions.

The overarching goal is to ensure that the awareness message conveyed through the film reaches the maximum number of people, encouraging them to internalise this understanding and adopt a heightened sense of vigilance in their daily lives.
