Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Writes to Collectors Regarding the Organisation of ‘Sushasan Tihar 2026’

In Short

Special Campaign to be Conducted for the Swift Resolution of Public Grievances in the State

Camps to be Organized in Rural and Urban Areas from May 1 to June 10

Emphasis Placed on Time-Bound Resolution of Public Issues and Citizen Participation

Raipur: With the objective of ensuring the swift and effective resolution of common citizens’ problems, the Government of Chhattisgarh will once again organize “Sushasan Tihar 2026” (Good Governance Festival) on a large scale this year. In this regard, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has issued a letter to all District Collectors across the state, providing detailed guidelines for the successful execution of this campaign.

In his letter, the Chief Minister stated that the time-bound resolution of public grievances constitutes the cornerstone of good governance, and providing transparent, simple, and prompt services to common citizens remains the State Government’s highest priority. In light of the positive outcomes observed during last year’s ‘Sushasan Tihar,’ the initiative will be conducted on an even more extensive scale this year.

Directives Issued to Resolve Pending Cases by April 30

The Chief Minister has directed the Collectors to launch a special drive to resolve all pending cases within their respective districts by April 30, 2026. Under this initiative, priority must be accorded to resolving issues such as land-related matters (including mutation, partition, and demarcation), pending wage payments under MGNREGA, pending payments for beneficiary-oriented schemes, issuance of income, caste, and domicile certificates, electricity and transformer-related issues, and the repair of hand pumps.

Furthermore, specific instructions have been issued to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of various schemes, such as the Ujjwala Scheme, Ration Cards, Ayushman Bharat, and Social Security Pensions.

Public Grievance Redressal Camps to be Held from May 1 to June 10

As part of ‘Sushasan Tihar,’ public grievance redressal camps will be organised across the entire state from May 1 to June 10, 2026. These camps will be organised based on clusters—grouping 15 to 20 Gram Panchayats in rural areas, and grouping specific wards in urban areas.

Comprehensive public awareness campaigns regarding various government schemes will be conducted at these camps, and benefits will be distributed to eligible beneficiaries on the spot. Directives have also been issued to ensure that applications received at the camps are resolved within a maximum period of one month, and that every applicant is informed of the status of their application.

The Chief Minister has directed that, during the campaign, Ministers, Members of Parliament (MPs), Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs), the Chief Secretary, and Secretaries-in-charge shall periodically visit the camps to inspect the arrangements and interact with the general public.

Chief Minister to Conduct Surprise Inspections of Development Works and Hold Review Meetings

During the campaign, Chief Minister Sai himself will visit various districts to conduct surprise inspections of development works and the implementation of schemes, and to gather feedback from beneficiaries. Additionally, review meetings will be held with officials at district headquarters to assess the status of application disposal at the grievance redressal camps and to review the progress of various schemes. Following the inspections and review meetings, the Chief Minister will address a press conference and meet with various social organizations and citizens to receive their suggestions.

Extensive Publicity to Encourage Public Participation

The Department of Public Relations and the District Administration have been directed to formulate an effective action plan for the extensive publicity and dissemination of the “Sushasan Tihar” (Good Governance Festival), utilising various media channels to ensure that the maximum number of citizens can connect with this campaign.

The Chief Minister has called upon all District Collectors to ensure necessary advance preparations are in place, to transform this campaign into a mass movement, and to ensure maximum public participation so that the common citizens of the state may derive the full benefits of the government’s schemes.
