New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal have suffered a major setback. The Chairman of the Rajya Sabha has approved a proposal for seven Aam Aadmi Party MPs—including Raghav Chadha and Sandeep Pathak—to join the BJP. The Rajya Sabha has issued a notification listing the names of these seven leaders among the BJP’s Members of Parliament.
Following the induction of these seven Aam Aadmi Party MPs into the BJP, the party’s total strength in the Rajya Sabha has risen to 113. This figure includes five members nominated by the President.
The AAP MPs who have joined the BJP are Ashok Kumar Mittal, Raghav Chadha, Harbhajan Singh, Sandeep Kumar Pathak, Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Swati Maliwal, and Rajinder Gupta.
